VDSmanager is a control system for Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS). Using VDSmanager you can divide one physical server into many independent full-fledged Unix-systems. VDSmanager allows to set quotas on different resources available for virtual servers, such as processor, operating memory, disk space and etc.

Delivery package of the VDSmanager includes:

• Kernel. You will need FreeBSD operating system modified kernel to install VDS system on a server.
• Web-interface. Using the web-interface you can administer Virtual Dedicated Servers through a usual web-browser.
• Additional shell-scripts. The set of scripts will help you to operate yours VDS through shell.

Full root-access

Virtual Dedicated Server administrator has the full access to all his server files including the once from the preinstalled software list. Administrator can install any other the operating system compatible software. In case, administrator has to reboot Virtual Dedicated Server, he can do it from shell by the command reboot or via web-browser.

Preinstalled software

You can create unlimited number of preinstalled software lists. This software will be mount to the Virtual Dedicated Servers filesystem. The result is that you can create VDS for various purpose on one physical server. And since preinstalled software does not occupy Virtual Dedicated Server disk space, you will save much of your physical server disk space.

Detailed VDS parameters setting

Virtual Dedicated Server has a number of resources limitation, such as limitation on random access memory, disk space, CPU, maximum processes running simultaneously, file descriptor, data transfer. You can change these parameters and you will not have to reboot your VDS.

Web-Interface Usability

ISPmanager web-interface is very operable. It was specially designed for users having only basic knowledge about web-hosting. Every field of the form, every button has a brief hint (to view it place mouse cursor over their names). If the brief hint can't make the situation clear, you can read the documentation by clicking on the "?" button.

Interface Themes and Languages

VDSmanager has several themes of the interface. You can choose the theme which is more pleasant for you. Also you can choose a language which will be used for all messages, hints, documentation and the control panel menu. If the existing themes and languages don't suit you, you can change them or add new ones.

Scalability

VDSmanager has unlimited abilities for functionality enhancement and integration with other software, for example, with accounting and billing systems.

VDSmanager supports plug-ins extension mechanism so you can enhance VDSmanager functionality by yourself anytime you need it.

VDSmanager has an open API (application programming interface). So you can use all features of the control panel in your programs.

"Event processing" system performs required operations on certain functions executing in VDSmanager. For example, if you want notification messages automatical sending as new Virtual Dedicated Server was created.
