IP pool management

A pool is a range of IP addresses. Pools are used for allocating IP addresses to DNSmanager users.

Available and allocated IP addresses are defined for every pool. The system uses the local pool of IP addresses or IPmanager.

IPmanager is a control panel that can be used for IP address management. IP addresses are allocated to use domain names. IPmanager allows:

  • it may happen, that one IP address is allocated to two servers. With IPmanager this situation cannot occur;
  • the control panel sets up and configures the name server for PTR management.

To use IPmanager you need to integrate it with DNSmanager. For more information refer to Integration with IPmanager.

If the panel is not integrated with IPmanager, to manage IP addresses navigate to Settings → IP pool.
