Types of notifications
The platform allows you to set up notifications about various events and changes in the health statuses of servers: about the occurrence of server diagnostic errors, problems with components, exceeding the thresholds of temperature, voltage or fan speed.
Notification methods
Notifications can be displayed in pop-up windows and the server table. The administrator will also receive a message by email.
Setting the frequency
DCImanager allows you to set a period of time after which a parameter deviation from the norm will be considered critical. The platform conducts regular scans of equipment and generates notifications if parameters remain outside acceptable values.
Managing notifications
In the DCImanager interface, you can configure notifications for different locations, servers, and equipment categories. You can also select the events for which notifications will be created and specify the recipients of these notifications.
BMC Monitoring
DCImanager supports integration with BMC (Baseboard Management Controller), which allows you to receive data on the state of the equipment and create notifications based on this data.
