Managing server profiles
The Server Profiles module provides powerful capabilities for group management of equipment using server profiles.
Administrators can create server profiles, set identical parameters for server groups with their help, and monitor the compliance of server settings.
Server configuration profiles allow you to standardize and manage configurations for a group of servers.
Basic settings:
- Profile name is a unique profile name within the location.
- Hardware configuration - allows you to track whether the hardware configuration of the servers matches the one specified in the profile.
- Server Model determines to which platform servers the adjustable profile can be applied.
- Note - a comment on the profile.
Network settings:
- BMC Hostname - Specifies the BMC hostname that is common to all servers in the profile.
- DNS Server - The IP address of the domain name server that the profile servers will access.
- Server time - allows you to set the same time and date on all servers in the profile.
- SSL certificates allows you to upload HTTPS or LDAP certificates to the server profiles.
It is also possible to specify a list of users who will be able to connect to the BMC server profiles and manage the list of servers to which the selected profile applies.
