Management Works

Locations in DCImanager

DCImanager allows you to manage your IT infrastructure regardless of its physical location. To do this, equipment is grouped by location into units also referred to as locations.

A location is a separate group of equipment (data center) where a server is allocated to manage the infrastructure. This server provides IP address allocation (DHCP) and storage of operating system templates for quick installation on servers.

Security

Management of geo-distributed infrastructure is protected by several mechanisms:

Isolation

The locations are isolated from each other. Each data center is connected only to the central DCImanager platform, and access is strictly one-way - from DCImanager to the locations.

Connecting via SSH

Managing remote infrastructure does not require opening ports through which attackers can gain unauthorized access to equipment.
