Automatic server diagnostics
and disaster recovery

DCImanager automatically checks the server health and the characteristics of its components.

If errors are detected, the platform will send a notification to the administrator, and if there are problems with startup, the administrator will be able to launch a disaster recovery procedure.

Ready-to-use SystemRescue OS images for troubleshooting your server

How does this work?

DCImanager allows you to verify that your server is operating correctly and is configured correctly before the equipment is put into operation.

01
The platform automatically starts the diagnostic procedure immediately after the server is released by the user or the owner is manually changed
02
In diagnostic mode, the platform checks the performance and parameters of components, if necessary, disks are cleaned and BMC is configured
03
If errors or malfunctions occur, DCImanager will report the errors found to the administrator and block the provisioning of the faulty server.
04
If there are problems with starting the server after rebooting or accessing the equipment via IPMI, the administrator will be able to start the emergency recovery procedure

What DCImanager
checks during
server diagnostics

DCImanager allows you to automate the process of pre-sale diagnostics of equipment. After the client releases the server, the platform runs a diagnostic procedure that checks:

Number of processors, RAM, hard drives

Presence of errors in RAM

Reading speed and disk capacity

S.M.A.R.T - information about the state of disks

Local connection speed

Network adapters

RAID controllers

If necessary, the platform can perform disk cleanup and configure IPMI.

Detailed information about the diagnostic progress is available in the DCImanager interface. Upon completion of the procedure, the platform will update the equipment status data and report any errors detected.

If necessary, the diagnostic procedure can be started manually.

Server
disaster
recovery

If there are problems starting the server after a reboot or connecting to it, the administrator will be able to perform an emergency recovery of the server. Hardware recovery is performed using the SystemRescue OS.

How Automatic Diagnostics
Simplifies Server Maintenance
and Provisioning

Performance guarantee

The diagnostic procedure automates the server's performance check and ensures that the user is provided with working equipment.

Monitoring of components

If a replacement of components has been made in the equipment that is not reflected in DCImanager, the platform will notify the administrator about this.

Reducing inventory costs

The platform will automatically detect new server components and add them to the inventory management - there is no need to enter data about changes in the processor, RAM, and other components
