Access levels

Superuser (root)

A root user is created during the installation process. All further operations in the control panel are performed with admin privileges.

Main functions:

  • Manage user accounts (admin, user): creates, sets permissions, deletes;
  • Analyze access logs, notification logs;
  • Configure the control panel.

Administrator 

An Admin is created during the installation of DNSmanager. An administrator has full privileges to add domain names.

Main functions:

  • create and manages user accounts (admin, user);
  • manage domain names;
  • configure the control panel.

User 

The server administrator can create a user account for the IP address owner.

Main functions:

  • manage the domain names that belong to his account;
  • configure DNS settings.

Reseller

The server administrator can create a reseller account for users who resell services.

Main functions:

  • manage users that belong to the reseller account;
  • manage domain names that belong to the reseller users; 
  • configure domain spaces used by the reseller and his users.
