DNSBL blacklists

IPmanager checks whether IP addresses can really be used or not.

This check goes in two steps:

  1. Check if an IP address is physically available in the network.
  2. Check if an IP address is in the DNSBL blacklists.

Read more in Checking IP addresses.

DNSBL (DNS blacklist) is a set of lists of domains and IP addresses, which are normally used to prevent spam.

IPmanager uses the lists available in Settings → DNSBL blacklists. Click on Add to create a new list. Then specify the address for the blacklist - a domain name used to check whether IPs are bllacklisted.

We recommed you using one of the following blacklists:

  • bl.spamcop.net;
  • zen.spamhaus.org.
