This article you through the steps you need to perform to get started with VMmanager.
Mandatory steps
- Navigate to Cluster settings→ Cluster nodes to add a node where virtual machines will be created. Make sure that the server you are connecting as a node meet the requirements described in the articles Cluster node configuration and Adding cluster nodes;
- Add a pool of IP addresses that will be allocated for newly created virtual machines or integrate VMmanger with IPmanager. Learn more under IP pool management;
- Navigate to Cluster settings→ OS templates to set up templates of the operating systems that will be deployed on virtual machines. For more information please refer to OS template management.
Optional steps
- Navigate to Management→ Users and Create a user who will be the owner of virtual machines. More information can be found under Access levels;
- Navigate to Cluster settings→ VM templates to check the configuration of VM templates. The system creates a default template with pre-defined resources. VM resources are RAM, CPU/kernels, CPU usage priority, Disk operations, Disk size, Storage, and Network. Edit the default template or create additional VM templates.
