The password recovery function allows a user to change his password if it has been lost. To enable the function, configure email notifications.
Allow a user to enable the password recovery function
- Log in as the superuser and go to Settings → Email notifications.
- Check that the SMTP-server is enabled.
- Enable the option Password reset notifications.
- Click on Ok.
Password restore configuration on the user side
- Go to Settings → User settings.
- Specify the Email that will receive notifications.
- Enable the option Password reset notifications.
- Click on Send confirmation.
- Open the mailbox for notifications that you have specified. Open the message with the email confirmation details. Follow the link. After the email is confirmed successfully, the user will be able to use it for password recovery,
How to restore a password
Perform the following steps on the control panel login form:
- Click on Password reset.
- In theYou can specify field, select how you want to restore your password and enter the Username or Email.
- Click on Ok.
- Open the mailbox that you have specified for email notifications. Open the password reset email and follow the link.
- The user settings form will open. Enter a new Password and Confirm it.
- Click on Ok.
