How to move a VM from VMmanager to BILLmanager client area

This article contains instructions on how to move existing virtual machines to the BILLmanager client area.

Description

Examples of situations when you may need to move virtual machines from VMmanager:

• a user was mistakenly deleted from BILLmanager, while the user's VMs are active in VMmanager;
• you need to add specific VMs to a BILLmanager user;
• a personal tariff needs to be added.

Solution

To migrate virtual machines:

1. Create any manual processing module:
   
   1. Enter Integration → Processing modules.
   2. Click Add and select the processing module.

   3. Click Add next to the Manual processing option:
      
      

      Note

      If a manual processing module has already been created in BILLmanager, you can use it.
2. Create the required tariff and attach a manual service processing module to the tariff:
   
   1. Enter Products → Tariff plans.
   2. Click Add and select a tariff plan.

   3. In the Processing module field, specify a manual service processing module.

      
      
3. Create a 100% discount for the order of this tariff under Clients → Discounts.
4. Go to the client’s account.

5. Order a VM with the same parameters as the existing VM. This will create a task to manually open the service.

   Note

   The parameters of the VMs must be completely identical, including the client's email.
6. Go to the administrator account.
7. Activate the service:
   1. Enter Tools → Tasks.
   2. Select the task to open the ordered service → click Edit.
   3. Click Assign to me.
   4. In the Main settings block, specify the VM data in VMmanager.
   5. Save the changes.
   6. Start the task with the Start button.
8. Connect the VMmanager processing module to the tariff:
   
   1. Enter Products → Tariff plans → select a tariff.
   2. Click Modules. This will display a list of available service processing modules.
   3. Disable the manual processing module with the Disable button.
   4. Enable the VMmanager processing module with the Enable button.

9. Transfer the service to this processing module:

   1. Enter Products/Services and select the license.
   2. Click Edit in the top menu.
   3. In the Processing module field, select the VMmanager processing module.
