An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is a device that provides power when the main power supply is momentarily disconnected, and also provides protection against interference in the main power supply network.
To add a UPS:
- Enter Equipment → UPS → Add UPS.
- Specify a discretionary UPS Name.
- Select the Handler:
- Emerson Liebert NX (SMNP) — a universal module for Emerson Liebert UPS;
- APC UPS beta (SNMP) — a universal module for APC UPS;
- KEOR MOD 250 (SNMP - CS141) — module for Legrand Keor MOD 250 UPS with the CS141 SNMP module.
- Specify the IP address of the UPS in IPv4 format.
- Select the device Installation type:
- Rack — if the UPS is installed in the rack;
- Floor — if the UPS is outside the rack.
- For a rack-mounted UPS, select the following:
- Size in units. It can be a multiple of 0.5.
- Rack.
- Rack Unit numbers.
- Size in units. It can be a multiple of 0.5.
- Add a discretionary Note.
- Select the SNMP Version and specify the settings:
- for SNMP v1 and SNMP v2c specify Community;
- for SNMP v3:
- Specify the User.
- If you are going to use Authentication, select its method and specify the Authentication password.
- If you are going to use an Encryption key, select its type and specify the Encryption password.
- Press Add. DCImanager 6 will start a UPS polling task.
