BILLmanager 5 Documentation

Promotion rules

With BILLmanager, you can specify rules (conditions) for your promotions. They allow you to specify who can use the promotion.

How to create a rule

  1. Go to MarketingPromotionsConditionsAdd.
  2. Select a Condition to specify who can use the promotion.
  3. Enter the required parameters.
  4. Select a Promotion group. If the service provider uses a condition group in his promo, clients may meet any condition from the group. If two or more groups are used, clients have to meet at least one condition from every group.

Conditions

  • Number of paid services — the system will check all Active, Pending, and Suspended services that a client has.  Select a tariff plan, the type of comparison, the number of services if this type or tariff plan;
  • Registration date — this promotion is available for clients with the registration date larger than, less than or equals to (depending on a comparison type) the current date minus the selected period. Select the type of comparison, period type, and length; For example, the provider has created the promo "1 year together". During a month his clients who registered more than 1 year ago will be given a 10% discount on the next 2 months. To create such a discount, set the following parameters: Comparison — "larger (>)", Period type — "year", Period length — "1".

The order date must be within the promotion period. If you renew a service during the promotion period, the discount will be applied;
  • Expenses over period — the system will check client's expenses for the whole period (you should also specify the currency and provider of the promotion).  Select the type of comparison, currency, amount, period type and length;

If a client doesn't have services, the current date will be taken for comparison. Select the type of comparison, currency, amount, period type and length;
Note:
If you create promo codes their validity periods may differ from periods of the promotion action. To modify the promo code go to Marketing → Promotions Promo codes Edit.
