Server requirements

Hardware requirements

The billing platform can be installed on a virtual or dedicated server. BILLmanager can be run in an IaaS environment or a PaaS containerization system. 

BILLmanager installation in Kubernetes environment was not tested.

Supported processors are Intel and AMD with x86_64 architecture and SSE4.2 instruction set. Processors with ARM architecture are not supported.

Note
This configuration is not suitable for installing a business intelligence module on the same server as BILLmanager. For server requirements for installing the module, see the article Installing the BI module.

System requirements

You can install IPmanager on the same server as BILLmanager 6. For more details, see the IPmanager documentation article. Use an unmodified operating system with a basic configuration: no third-party repositories and no additional services installed.

Operation of BILLmanager 6 on the same server as other ISPsystem products is not supported.

Supported operating systems:

  • AlmaLinux 9;
  • Ubuntu 20.04;

    Note.
    The mysql server version for Ubuntu 20.04 OS is at least 8.0.30.
Note:

 Install the panel on the server with the latest minor version of the operating system.

Do not change the major version of the OS.

The CentOS 7 x64 operating system is not supported. On 06.30.2024, an EOL has occurred for Centos.

If you are running CentOS 7 x64, we recommend migrating BILLmanager to a supported OS. For more information, see Migration between servers.

Network Settings

Allow incoming connections on TCP-ports:

  • 1500, 443, 80 — for access to the web interface of the platform via HTTP/HTTPS;
  • 22 — for ISPsystem support access.

Allow outgoing connections on TCP-ports:

  • 443, 80 — for platform access to integration services;
  • 8443 — for gathering statistics about the consumed turnover.
Port 8443 should be open for transmitting statistics on company turnover. This information is necessary for correct tariff plan calculation.
