Promotions

A promotion is an event to promote services or products.

Types of promotions in BILLmanager:

  • providing discounts on services;
  • a balance top-up certificate;
  • cashback on payments.

Managing promotions

Creating a promotion

Launching a promotion consists of the following steps:

  1. Creating a promotion — basic settings that define the provider who runs the promotion, the type of promotion, and the timing of the promotion.
    To create a promotion, enter MarketingPromotions → click Add. Read more in:
  2. Defining the conditions of participation that a client must meet in order to participate in a promotion.
    To set the conditions of participation in a promotion, enter MarketingPromotions → select a promotion → click Conditions → click Add. Read more in Promotion rules.
  3. Creating discounts — settings that define the amount of the discount, the type of services for which the discount is effective, and the conditions for applying the discount.
    To create discounts, enter MarketingPromotions → select a promotion with the type "Providing discounts on services" → click Discounts → click Add.
  4. Generation of promo codes or certificates, if the corresponding condition for participation in the promotion is set. Read more in:

You can create a new promotion based on an existing promotion. Select a promotion in the list and click Copy.

Editing the promotion

Changing the type for a created promotion is not available. For example, if you have created a promotion with the type "Providing discounts on services", you will not be able to change its type to "Cashback on payments".

To edit a promotion, select the promotion in the list and click Edit.

Deleting a promotion

To delete a promotion, enter MarketingPromotions → select the promotion → click Delete.

We do not recommend deleting promotions that clients have used. Deleting used promotions can affect expenses and in recalculations.

Information about promotions

To see more information about a promotion, select the promotion in the list and click

  • Usage — a general list of activations of promo codes and certificates that participate in the promotion;
  • History — view the history of the promotion's edits. BILLmanager records the following:
    • edit date;
    • a description of the changes made;
    • the user who made the changes;
    • the user's IP address;
    • what was changed.

Promotion archive

To put inactive promotions into the archive, select the promotion in the list and click Archive.

You will not be able to return a promotion from the archive. Active promotions that have been archived will become unavailable for use.
