Preset dashboards

The article describes the built-in dashboards and the indicators available on them.

Main provider metrics

Displays main provider metrics for quick access to summary information, without deep details.

Consists of the following types of graphs:

Metrics

Chart type: A number with a graph.

Indicate the following:

  • current calendar month values (turnover MRR, amount of expenses and number of active services);
  • deviation of these indicators relative to the previous month in percent;
  • trend for the full 12 months —  hover over the trend line to see the values during the displayed period.

Shares

Chart type: Pie chart.

Allows you to estimate the share by product type or by service period for the current month in the values of the metrics shown above (MRR, expenses, active services).

Key metrics

Sales for the year

The amount of expenses (paid and unpaid) by creation date for the current calendar year.

Chart type: number with a trend line.

Average revenue per paying client (ARPPU)

Monthly income from the average paying client (a client with an expense on the service).

Chart type: number with a trend line.

ARPPU = MRR / Number of clients with MRR 

The higher the ARPPU, the easier it is to keep the clients. A decrease in ARPPU could mean the following:

  • the most solvent clients are leaving;
  • a part of the client base is switching to cheaper tariff plans;
  • some clients refuse certain services;
  • the number of new clients ordering the cheapest packages is increasing significantly.

Average sale (AOV)

The average cost per expense in the billing system for the current calendar month.

Chart type: number with a trend line.

Average revenue per service (ARPPS)

Monthly income from the average paid service.

Chart type: number with a trend line.

Indicators of the current month and the percentage of growth relative to the previous month

Sales for the month

The amount of expenses (paid and unpaid) by creation date for the current calendar month.

Chart type: number with a trend line.

Share of sales for the month by product type/tariff.

Chart type: pie chart;

Share of sales for the month by service period.

MRR in comparison

Monthly recurring income from active paid services.

Paying clients

The number of clients who have expenses on services in the current month.

The total number of services that were active for at least one day in the reported month, including trial licenses.

Sales by product type

The amount of expenses by the selected currency for the provider within the specified time period with the selected timegrain.

Chart type: bar chart.

Sales by paid/unpaid portion

The amount of expenses by the selected currency for the provider within the specified time period with the selected timegrain.

Chart type: bar chart.

Summary table of sales volumes

The amount of expenses for the selected product type/tariff for the specified time period including addons for the tariff.

MRR

Provides all product information by MRR.

MRR determines what monthly recurring income can be expected from active paid services. The higher the MRR, the better the condition of the company.

Basic information on MRR:

  • value increases due to the purchase of new services or the client's switching to a more expensive tariff plan;
  • If the subscription is not paid monthly, it is divided by the number of months it covers. For example, the MRR of an annual subscription is 1/12 of the annual fee;
  • value decreases when client cancels services or downgrades tariff plans;
  • does not include one time payments.

MRR

Chart type: bar chart.

MRR by client (comparison of similar periods)

Comparison of the MRR of clients for the current month and the previous month with the difference indicated.

Chart type: table

This visualization is sorted by table header, so you can see both the largest and the smallest clients. All clients, for which there were any changes during the reported periods (MRR increase, MRR decrease), are displayed. Select clients in the table to filter the data of the other visualizations. This will allow you to see a fuller picture at the expense of other cross-sections.

Table fields: 

  • Client ID.
  • Client - the name of the client.
  • Current month - MRR turnover of the client for the period from the first day of the current month to the current day.
  • Previous month - MRR turnover of the client for the period similar to the current month in the previous month.
  • Difference - the difference between the MRR-turnover of the current month and the previous month.

MRR by product

Chart type: table

This visualization allows you to assess the volumes and trends of products and tariffs.

  • Current month - MRR of each tariff plan for the period from the first day of the current month to the current day.
  • Previous month - the amount of expenses of each tariff plan for the period similar to the current month in the previous month.
  • Difference - the difference between the MRR turnover of the current month and the previous month.

Comparison for the year.

Number of clients with expenses on services for the selected time period according to the selected timegrain
Chart type: time series area chart

Top 10 clients by sales

For the period.

Displays the top 10 clients with the highest sales for the selected period. The sales is the amount of expenses (both paid and unpaid).

Chart type: table

ARPPU

Comparison for the year.

Shows the average revenue per client with a service expense as a trend and a comparison over the year.

Chart type: time series area chart.

Number of services over time by the date their status changes to "deleted" (includes trials).

Summary table of services by product type

Number of active services at the moment, for the selected period and the number of new services at the moment and for the selected period by product type.

Number of active services compared to the previous year according to the selected timegrain.
